Photogrammetry videos

These are educational videos on how images are captured in the Photogrammetry process. 
Photogrammetry is the art and science of extracting 3D information from photographs. The process involves taking overlapping pictures of an object, structure, or space and converting them into 2D or 3D digital models. The output of this process is 3D textured mesh models, which are utilized in many rapidly advancing emerging technologies, including Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, and Digital Animation. 
To create the images required for the 3D rendering process, I used three cameras positioned at different angles: view from Top, view from Middle, and view from Bottom. The model is placed on a rotating model platform that turns slowly. The three cameras are synchronized to snap an image every second which produces 100 to 150 images per pose.  Thesed images are imported into 3D modeling software, in my case 3DF Zephyr, that stitches all images together creating a 3D mesh model.
